Each year we launch the season with our Breast Cancer Fundraising weekend at the end of May - a fun filled Saturday with something for everyone in the family.  Funds are raised through  - a silent auction of donated items;   we contribute a portion of all sales from Friday - Sunday;   all proceeds from a Saturday BBQ are donated;   and of course, any donations you'd like to make when enjoying the free plant giveaway.   Come help us make a difference!  (If you have an item you'd like to donate to the silent auction, please call or drop by.)

Breast Cancer Fundraising Weekend! 
We'll have some fabulous items for auction and the BBQ will be fired up all day Saturday.  This year the free plant giveaway for everyone who attends (1 per family), is a starter sized pot of the fabulous Hydrangea 'Pinky Winky'.  Strong red stems full of large dusty rose coloured blooms that last all fall and through winter.  A fast growing and robust plant that tolerates drought and lots of sun.  More details on other happenings during the fundraising weekend will be here shortly. 

These popular Container Making Workshops are a great way to open the season! This year we're running them a bit earlier than usual to take advantage of this great spring we're experiencing. 

CONTAINER PLANTING WORKSHOPS

A Hands-on Workshop

 Get your fingernails dirty creating your own planter to take home in our step-by-step hands-on workshop.  Fee includes potting soil, starter and slow release fertilizers, and $5.00 towards the plants you use in your container.  Bring your own planter or hanging basket or select a new one from our inventory.  We'll do a tour through the greenhouse and talk about options, clarify your container's needs for long lasting bloom, help you choose the right plants for the size of container or sun / shade position, correct planting, and take you step-by-step through designing something unique.  (Limited to 8 participants so register early!). fee $20.00  Call or email in advance to register. Visa or M/C accepted.
