retail greenhouse on the outskirts of
Newmarket Ontario that opened it's gates
to the local gardening public in 2004.
Our focus is on perennials, annuals, a
basic selection of shrubs, customized
containers and hanging baskets, and on
providing experienced gardening services
to help you look after your garden.
Owned and operated by
Susan Van Bakel and Don Heaslip, this
father/daughter team
brings together over 22 years of plant
knowledge,
gardening enthusiasm, and
business experience. We're here
for the long term and are
dedicated to working hard year round to
earn
the pleasure of seeing you return each
spring, just as excited as we are to
launch another successful gardening
season!
We
have three priorities at Van Bakel's.
The first,
is to provide
high quality plants for you to choose from. We
keep on top of what's new in the plant
breeding world and order our plants from
a variety of Canadian sources to ensure best
quality and a wide selection.
The second, is to provide
outstanding customer service. Our
#1 policy is to strive for clients
to be 100% satisfied with their Van
Bakel's shopping
experience. After only a few years
of operation we can boast of a fast
growing list of repeat customers who
appreciate our knowledgeable staff and
personal service.
Our third
priority is to provide lots
of information about the
plants, not just read you the sometimes
questionable information on plant
tags. In winter we
are busy attending industry seminars
to keep up with new innovations,
plants and trends. We do this so
you can tap our knowledge to solve your gardening problems, and help you
with design ideas.
